Plan, schedule and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for all HVAC equipment (air-handlers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, controls, etc.)

Monitor performance of chiller plant systems (including chillers, condensers, evaporators, compressors, expansion valves, pumps, etc.) and implement measures to optimise performance, efficiency and energy use.

Manage a team of mechanical technicians and supervisors: assign tasks, set priorities, monitor progress, provide training and mentoring.

Ensure adherence to maintenance standards, safety protocols (lock-out/tag-out, confined space, etc.), regulatory compliance (local building codes, Indian standards, etc.).

Develop and maintain maintenance budgets, monitor costs, evaluate vendor/service contracts and manage vendor relationships for outsourced maintenance or servicing.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, downtime, spare parts inventory, and maintenance KPIs (Mean Time Between Failures, downtime, cost per hour, energy consumption, etc.).

Lead root-cause failure investigations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and implement reliability-centred maintenance practices.

Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Facilities, HVAC controls, electrical, procurement) for facility upgrades, shutdowns and capital projects.

Ensure environmental compliance where relevant (e.g., refrigerant handling & recovery, cooling water discharge) and ensure safe handling/storage of refrigerants, lubricants, chemicals.

Keep up to date with latest technologies/trends in HVAC & chiller systems, recommend upgrades or retrofits to improve plant performance.

Prepare reports for senior management on system performance, maintenance status, lifecycle of equipment and projected replacement/upgrade schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.

Minimum 8-12 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role, specifically dealing with large HVAC/chiller plants.

Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers (both air-cooled and water-cooled), cooling towers, pumps, piping, controls and instrumentation.

Experience in preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, reliability engineering and energy-efficient operations.

Familiarity with Indian regulatory requirements for HVAC, refrigerant handling and building systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per month
