Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles.
- Oversee routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs for heavy trucks, garbage trucks, hydraulic systems, and diesel engines.
- Ensure timely servicing, oil changes, brake checks, hydraulic system inspections, and other essential maintenance tasks.
- Monitor vehicle performance and identify recurring issues to prevent downtime.
2. Workshop Operations Management
- Lead and supervise mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
- Assign daily tasks, review job performance, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and diagnostic machinery are functioning and calibrated.
3. Fleet Breakdown & Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and coordinate roadside repairs.
- Arrange tow services or onsite repair teams when necessary.
- Investigate breakdown causes and implement corrective actions.
4. Inventory & Spare Parts Management
- Manage spare parts inventory for hydraulic components, diesel engine parts, tires, electrical items, and accessories.
- Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing, price negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of required parts.
- Keep accurate inventory records and prevent shortages or excess stock.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and certifications for each vehicle.
- Ensure vehicles meet government standards such as Baladiya requirements, environmental regulations, and waste management laws (if applicable).
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Track maintenance costs, fuel usage, spare parts consumption, and downtime analysis.
- Maintain detailed logbooks and digital records for each truck.
7. Team Training & Development
- Train staff on new equipment, diagnostic tools, and safety procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching when needed.
