Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly capable Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic management of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient maintenance, manage budgets, lead vendor coordination, enforce health and safety compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage both people and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily facility operations to ensure efficiency and performance

Allocate and supervise staff across multiple sites

Provide best practice training to facility staff as needed

Manage staff performance, including arranging cover and addressing conduct issues

Schedule and monitor maintenance and repair work

Develop and control facility budgets and monitor expenditure

Optimize space utilization and operational layouts

Coordinate with external vendors for services such as elevators, firefighting systems, and ELV systems

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Design and implement emergency response and disaster recovery plans

Promote sustainability and energy efficiency practices

Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related concerns

Supervise engineers, supervisors, and technicians, providing direction and support

Maintain accurate operational and compliance records

Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports as requested

Escalate complex issues to the Technical Services Manager as necessary

Note: Responsibilities may be adjusted based on operational and project needs and are subject to periodic review.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with substantial facility management experience

Minimum of five years of experience, including at least two years in the Gulf region

Strong knowledge of MEP and civil systems, as well as soft services like cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, and security

Practical experience in health and safety regulations for buildings and infrastructure

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:

Knowledge of QHSE management systems and standards

Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 41001

Certifications such as PMP, CFM, IFMA, or BIFM
