Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning & Delivery
- Design, implement, and supervise recreational and leisure programs, including sports, fitness, arts, cultural, and social activities.
- Assess facility needs and adapt programs to meet the community's interests and requirements.
- Coordinate seasonal events, tournaments, and special activities.
- Staff Supervision & Training
- Train, schedule, and evaluate recreation staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to staff members, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Operations & Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and generate financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk management standards to maintain a safe environment for staff and participants.
- Customer & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain positive relationships with program participants and the broader community.
- Address participant concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Facility & Equipment Management
- Monitor the usage of recreation facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance.
- Recommend improvements to facilities, resources, and programming to enhance service delivery and participant satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Physical Education, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in recreation, hospitality, or leisure services, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and safety regulations.
