Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the maintenance and repair of the company’s fleet, and ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. The role supports uninterrupted logistics operations through preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and statutory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Maintenance
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of company vehicles (trucks, trailers, delivery vans, forklifts, etc.).
- Ensure optimal vehicle uptime and availability for logistics operations.
- Monitor vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and maintenance costs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, service schedules, and repair history.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage maintenance vendors, garages, and service contractors.
- Negotiate service agreements, AMC contracts, and spare-part procurement.
- Ensure quality, timely service delivery, and cost control.
Planning & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets.
- Control maintenance expenses and reduce downtime through effective planning.
- Track KPIs such as vehicle availability, MTTR, and maintenance cost per vehicle.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, road safety norms, pollution control, and insurance regulations.
- Implement safety standards for fleet and facilities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff, technicians, and mechanics.
- Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.
- Train team members on safety practices and maintenance procedures.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare maintenance MIS reports for management review.
- Coordinate with operations, transport, and warehouse teams to minimize disruptions.
- Support breakdown resolution and emergency maintenance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- 5–10 years of experience in maintenance management within logistics, transport, or fleet-based organizations
- Hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and facility management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
