Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager position provides the planning and leadership to maintain a cohesive maintenance department providing technical services for location's facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an industrial facility or maintenance management in a sheet metal/manufacturing facility and have a proven history of team development and Lean Manufacturing along with working knowledge of controls and automation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance department.
  • Troubleshoot and oversee diagnostics and repair of controls and automation.
  • Ensure that all equipment and facility resources are continuously upgraded and available for use.
  • Ensure that mechanics and technicians are properly trained for new or evolving technologies.
  • Coordinate execution of all work orders and evaluation of the finished work.
  • Manage the preventative maintenance system for the operation.
  • Identify and promote Lean initiatives.
  • Oversee safe work practices of all mechanics and contracted employees.
  • Schedule and supervise outside contractors performing work in our facilities.
  • Coordinate and oversee installation of new industrial equipment and required electrical requirements.
  • Supervise custodial services.
  • Submit Capital Expenditures requests and provide measurable feedback in projects.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance on printers and miscellaneous computer hardware.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting eight-gauge metal fabricating/bending equipment
  • Experience in industrial mechanical and industrial electrical troubleshooting and strong problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of troubleshooting PLC's.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based and fast-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Extensive communication between supervisors and lead personnel on the floor.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
