Maintenance Manager

Position: Maintenance Manager

Organization: The Unati Cooperative Marketing Cum Processing Society Limited

Role Objective

• Ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted operation of plant machinery and utilities.
• Implement effective preventive and breakdown maintenance systems in GMP / FSSC-compliant manufacturing environments.
• Improve equipment reliability, plant uptime, and operational efficiency while maintaining statutory and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for all plant equipment.
• Develop maintenance schedules, checklists, and SOPs to minimize downtime.
• Analyze breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Utilities Management

• Oversee operation and maintenance of utilities including boilers, refrigeration, compressors, HVAC, electrical systems, water treatment, ETP/STP, and DG sets.
• Ensure continuous availability of utilities for production operations.
• Optimize energy and utility consumption to reduce operational costs.

GMP / FSSC Compliance

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, FSSC 22000, and food safety standards.
• Maintain equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance records as per audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and certification processes.

Spare Parts & Inventory Control

• Plan and manage critical spares inventory to avoid production disruptions.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of spare parts and services.
• Control maintenance costs through effective planning and vendor management.

Safety & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety norms, electrical safety, and statutory regulations.
• Implement lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), safety permits, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate with authorities for inspections and statutory renewals where applicable.

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Manage maintenance vendors, service providers, and AMC contracts.
• Supervise contractors during maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety and GMP requirements.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and develop maintenance technicians and engineers.
• Provide training on equipment operation, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate closely with production, QA, and engineering teams to support plant operations.

Candidate Profile & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in maintenance of GMP / FSSC-certified manufacturing plants.
• Strong hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and utilities management.
• Good knowledge of food processing, FMCG, beverage, nutraceutical, or pharma manufacturing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
