Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager (Electrical Focus)

The Opportunity: Build It. Lead It. Own It.

Tri-City Heat Treat is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager with strong industrial electrical experience to lead and improve our maintenance operations.

This is a working Maintenance Manager role. The vast majority of your time will be spent on the floor moving projects and PM’s forward. We’re looking for a leader who can troubleshoot problems, support the team on the floor, drive preventative maintenance initiatives, and help build a stronger maintenance culture across the facility.

Tri-City Heat Treat operates a demanding industrial environment with specialized heat treat furnaces and production equipment requiring strong troubleshooting, urgency, and hands-on leadership.

If you are someone who takes ownership, solves problems, and wants the authority to improve how maintenance is done, this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on plant performance and reliability.

We value practical problem solving, urgency, accountability, and hands-on leadership—not excessive bureaucracy.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on leadership role combining electrical expertise, maintenance leadership, and real-world problem solving.

  • Perform hands-on maintenance support alongside the team as needed

Maintenance Leadership

  • Lead and support a maintenance team of 3–5 employees
  • Establish and improve preventative maintenance programs, maintenance documentation, and PM systems
  • Support spare parts inventory organization and maintenance planning
  • Prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities to support production demands
  • Drive equipment uptime, reliability, and preventative maintenance performance
  • Respond to breakdowns and drive root cause solutions—not just temporary fixes
  • Support furnace calibration, TUS (Temperature Uniformity Surveys), and equipment reliability initiatives
  • Help build a proactive, accountability-driven maintenance culture focused on uptime and reliability

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead equipment modifications, installations, and improvement projects
  • Support capital projects and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Help improve equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Maintain safe and organized maintenance practices throughout the facility

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting ability using electrical schematics and controls systems
  • Working knowledge of motors, burners, radiant tubes, hydraulics, refractory systems, conveyors/belts, skimming systems, welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment
  • Experience with PM programs, CMMS systems, and reliability-focused maintenance practices
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in heat treat, foundry, steel, heavy industrial, or similar manufacturing environments is highly valued
  • Familiarity with TUS, furnace calibration, combustion systems, batch furnaces, or heat treat processes is highly valued
  • A hands-on, resourceful, “figure it out” mindset
  • Comfortable working in a demanding industrial environment

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily day shift
  • Flexibility required based on production and maintenance needs (early starts/staying late). No swing shifts!
