About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance practices across our facility. This role is responsible for ensuring plant equipment, production processes, and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of skilled personnel, manage contractors and vendors, and partner with senior leadership to drive operational excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of all plant equipment, grounds, and facilities.
- Develop and implement plant layout changes and coordinate construction or modification projects.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Provide maintenance personnel with the knowledge, training, and tools needed for success.
- Develop and manage capital and expense budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to support plant operations.
- Address day-to-day operational issues promptly and constructively.
- Collaborate closely with senior management and other departments to align goals and priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and direct maintenance team members to achieve high performance and cohesion.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field, OR equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing (meat industry experience highly preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration principles and applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; working knowledge of CAD and PLC equipment preferred.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in environments ranging from -40°F to 110°F, including noisy conditions with required PPE.
- State Mechanical Contractor’s License - highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $135,000.00 per year
