Role: Maintenance Manager

Location: Vasanthanarasapura Industrial Area, Tumkur
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Lead breakdown maintenance and ensure quick resolution of machine issues.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance across all critical equipment.
- Ensure availability of dies, tools, fixtures, consumables, and spare parts required for smooth operations.
- Maintain structured checklists, PM schedules, and machine health logs.
Equipment Reliability & Uptime
- Improve uptime of stamping presses, high-speed presses, die-casting machines, furnaces, trimming machines, compressors, and utility systems.
- Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor equipment performance, vibration, cooling systems, lubrication, safety interlocks, and tool alignment.
- Work with vendors and service partners for major repairs or specialized interventions.
Coordination with Production & Tool Room
- Work closely with Production Managers and Supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks
- Coordinate with Tool Room for die repairs, modifications, and tool upkeep.
- Support quick changeovers and ensure machines are safe and production-ready for each shift.
- Communicate downtime, root causes, and expected restoration times promptly.
Spares, Inventory & Vendor Management
- Maintain optimum stock of critical spares, consumables, and maintenance materials.
- Track consumption and raise timely procurement requests.
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC activities, service visits, specialized repair work, and warranty claims.
- Ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising machine reliability.
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all maintenance work follows safety protocols, lockout–tagout procedures, and equipment safety norms.
- Maintain records required for audits, statutory inspections, and customer assessments.
- Ensure proper documentation related to PM checklists, breakdown logs, and repair history.
- Support electrical, mechanical, and utility compliance requirements.
Team Leadership & Skill Development
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians (mechanical/electrical).
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure responsibilities are clearly understood.
- Train technicians on troubleshooting methods, SOPs, and safe maintenance practices.
- Build a disciplined, responsive, and technically strong maintenance team.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to reduce breakdowns, improve reliability, and enhance machine performance.
- Support process improvement initiatives involving tool life enhancement, cycle time reduction, and energy savings.
- Participate in RCA reviews, kaizen activities, and improvement projects.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields. Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing plants.
- Exposure to stamping presses, die-casting machines, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, furnaces, and utilities preferred.
- Experience leading a maintenance team in a multi-shift environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with production and other plant functions.
- Hands-on approach with strong shop-floor presence.
- Good vendor interaction and service coordination skills

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,100,000.00 per year
