The Maintenance Manager will oversee the overall maintenance and repair of the resort’s buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for guests and employees. The role is responsible for preventive maintenance planning, team supervision, vendor coordination, and adherence to compliance and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Facility Management
- Manage and maintain resort facilities including guest rooms, public areas, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping.
- Ensure timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of all resort areas to check for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
Operations & Planning
- Develop annual maintenance and CAPEX/OPEX plans for repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Oversee energy consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including electricians, plumbers, technicians, and external contractors.
- Plan duty rosters, assign tasks, and monitor productivity.
- Train team members on safety protocols and operational best practices.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for external services.
- Supervise outsourced maintenance work and ensure timely project completion.
- Verify vendor invoices and ensure work quality standards are met.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with fire & safety regulations, environmental standards, and statutory maintenance requirements.
- Oversee functioning and maintenance of fire fighting systems, CCTV, generators, lifts, and water treatment plants.
- Maintain proper documentation, safety logs, and certification records.
Guest Service Support
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from Front Office and Housekeeping.
- Minimize downtime and inconvenience to guests during repairs.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with guests.
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field.
- 6–10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or commercial property management.
- Strong knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC operations, and utility equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs, BMS, and swimming pool operations.
- Good knowledge of safety compliance and statutory maintenance requirements.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
