Maintenance Mechanic

The Olive Oil Factory, LLC is a fast-growing company focused on delivering the highest quality condiments to our customers. We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to be responsible for providing an intermediate-level of expertise in responding to production line needs, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and production equipment in an industrial environment. This individual will be responsible for machinery change over and functionality for day-to-day production runs, and reporting issues to the team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• The ability to multitask repairs, changeovers, and scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure job completion.
• Changing over the line equipment for many different products.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Verifying that all setups will consistently produce a quality product while maintaining line speed.
• Looking forward to job changes and preparing in advance so changeovers happen quickly and smoothly.
• Performing routine maintenance on the line equipment maintaining the regular PM schedule.
• Troubleshooting equipment setups and making adjustments when necessary.
• Troubleshooting of line equipment.
• Performing mechanical repairs.
• Working to create and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work any shift and work overtime, as needed.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Performing changeovers when needed and performing quality work.
• Perform installations and modifications as assigned by supervisors.
• Ensure that equipment is safe for operation.
• Set-up and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Follow Lock Out-Tag Out procedures.
• Assist in other departments, as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Position is in a warehouse facility with temperatures based normal environmental conditions.
• Hearing protection and safety glasses are provided and required.
• Work surfaces are primarily concrete with anti-fatigue mats provided where feasible.
• Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts at times.
• Noise level is usually loud.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year Maintenance Mechanic experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability, including using power and hand tools.
• Experience operating and/or setting up equipment in a Bottling environment.
• Able to lift up to(50lbs).
• Able to work kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, and in tight places.
• Motivated self-starter, with the ability to work in a team and independently to achieve team objectives.
• Maintain a safe environment and keep production high.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Plumbing troubleshooting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $40.50 per hour
