About the Role:

Bolton Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-minded Mechanic to service and maintain our fleet of work trucks, vans, cars and small equipment used across our construction, pool and farm divisions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gas and diesel vehicles, small engines and jobsite tools. This role plays a key part in keeping our teams running smoothly by ensuring all equipment is reliable, safe and compliant.

A key part of this role is the ability to efficiently source hard-to-find parts, minimizing equipment downtime while balancing speed and cost. This is especially critical given the logistical challenges of working on an island.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks, vans, cars and utility vehicles (gas and diesel)
  • Service and repair small engines and equipment (e.g., generators, compressors, compactors, pumps, etc.)
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues and perform diagnostics
  • Maintain accurate service logs and inspection reports
  • Order parts and manage small tool/equipment inventory as needed
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Support field crews with on-site equipment checks or minor repairs when needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience maintaining vehicles and small equipment
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems, engines and basic electrical repairs
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical documents
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • ASE certification or equivalent training is a plus (but not required)
