Maintenance Mechanic
Our Filtration and Performance Additives division is seeking four (4) Plant Mechanics in our Quincy, WA facility. The Plant Mechanic will be responsible for performance of mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, installations, inspections and preventive and predictive maintenance activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform repairs with minimum supervision.

Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic and electric tools.

Assist other qualified technicians in repair tasks such as removal, installation and repair of components/machines.

Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
-
Follow directions as given. Retain acquired knowledge, build competencies and share skills.

Perform departmental or equipment cleaning as required.

Follow company policies and procedures.

Treat co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.

Be responsible for personal development.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic and electric tools.

Demonstrate proper pre-start inspection procedures. basic operation, and shutdown of equipment.

Demonstrate safe methods of handling and storing hazardous materials.
-
Demonstrate the ability to change fluids, filters and screens, and to properly dispose of waste materials.
-
Show proficiency in the identification and use of seals, lubricants, hose, chemicals, hardware and filters.
-
Demonstrate the ability to use and interpret electrical schematics.
-
Complete required paperwork in timely manner.
-
Accurately complete time cards and service reports of work performed.
-
Accurately complete parts orders, and identify parts for return.
-
Practice effective time management and good work habits.
-
Demonstrate proper use of service manuals, service tools and service publications.
-
Performs other duties as required.
Wage: $31.32 - $36.26per hour

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
-
Minimum of high school diploma and/or equivalent; prefer one-year certificate or A. S. degree from a community college or technical school.

4+ years of experience in the maintenance function in an industrial plant.

Ability to read mechanical drawings, and understand symbols for electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
-
Working knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems.
-
Working knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and wiring.
