Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Maintenance mechanics keep the machinery at a business operating effectively. They assemble, inspect, install and test new pieces of equipment to ensure proficiency. Mechanics are expected to perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly. Preventive maintenance needs to be performed frequently.

Essential Functions

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plans repair work using equipment manual as needed.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Operate machinery safely and properly, as trained;
• Arrive on-time ready to begin stretches and receive work assignment;
• Any other duties as assigned by leadership including department leads.
• Wearing PPE correctly & consistently

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Education:

• No prerequisite

Experience:

• 2 years in related field

Skills:

· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• warehouse mechanical: 1 year (Required)
• Industrial mechanic: 1 year (Required)
