Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Diagnose mechanical failures using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently.
• Repair or replace appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration components, and HVAC/R systems to maintain optimal climate control.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
• Lead or assist with construction projects related to facility upgrades or equipment installation, ensuring safety compliance.
• Perform regular inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues before they cause operational disruptions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment maintenance.
• Service technician experience with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration technology.
• Experience in construction or facility upgrades is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide junior team members or contractors when needed.
