Maintenance Mechanic- 3rd Shift

Maintenance Position: Pay ranging from $28 to $37.70 per hour based on experience

Ice Cream Specialties (8419 Hanley Industrial Ct., St. Louis, MO 63144) is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support production in a food manufacturing and packaging facility. Position also includes maintaining plant utilities such as boiler, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration compressors, anhydrous ammonia system, building and grounds maintenance, etc...

Qualifications/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull products weighing up to fifty pounds out of confined spaces and occasionally having to lift products overhead
• Ability to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and other physical requirements as needed
• Must be able to pass a post-offer drug test, alcohol screening, and physical exam
• 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience minimum
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and repair machinery issues
• Pneumatics & Programmable Logic Controllers Experience
• HVAC experience preferred
• Ammonia experience preferred
• Electrical experience preferred (3 phase 480 volt systems)
• Hydraulic experience preferred
• Basic welding skills preferred (Mig/Tig/Stick)
• Set up and change out of various machine lines
• Ability to read and follow blueprints
• Plumbing skills
• Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Strong team player
• Communication skills

Duties:

• Good interpersonal skills are a must.
• Diagnose mechanical problems quickly and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Maintain high speed processing equipment, pipe fitting, welding, fabrication, carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installation of equipment.
• Adjust and repair packaging equipment as needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Interface with Operations to minimize downtime and maximize plant reliability.
• Work with both Outside Contractors and Plant Operations to ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Other responsibilities as requested.

Education Experience:

• Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to read and speak English for safety purposes.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Trade school completion for Electrical is a plus
