This is skilled manual work in the alteration, maintenance and repair of municipal buildings, facilities, and grounds. Work involves the use of skilled trade knowledge in building structures, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to install, clean, repair and replace various facility components. Work may include drywall repair, painting, carpentry, HVAC troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, as well as reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics and the skilled use of a variety of tools. In addition to skilled trade duties, employees are expected to perform custodial and general upkeep tasks as needed to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment. The position requires physical ability, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, versatility, self-motivation, and productivity, and may require overtime or callback hours, including nights and weekends, to address urgent repairs outside of the regularly scheduled shift at the discretion of management.
Salary: $23.83 - $33.77 Hourly
