Schedule: 4pm – 4:30am 4 days per week after January 1, schedule will transition to 5 days per week with 8hour shifts.

Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic with Controls Experience to support our 2nd shift/night shift operations and ensure the smooth, reliable performance of automated production equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance, strong familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RA Logic 5000), and has worked within ISO-certified environments.

This role requires a proactive troubleshooter who can manage late-shift maintenance needs and occasionally stay beyond scheduled hours to resolve critical production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency mechanical/electrical maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot automation systems and controls, including Allen-Bradley PLCs (RA Logic 5000).
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation in accordance with ISO certification standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Log maintenance activities accurately in CMMS; follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.
• Provide flexible after-hours troubleshooting support when needed.

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience with Allen-Bradley automation systems and Rockwell Automation RA Logic 5000.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with ISO-certified processes and instrumentation standards.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable working 2nd shift/night shift and occasionally staying past 11:00 PM.

Preferred:

• Technical school or vocational training in industrial maintenance or controls.
