Hours:

7am-3pm

Summary:

Performs routine maintenance duties (i.e. repairs, painting, etc.) on equipment and facilities within the hospital to assist in the achievement of the hospital mission.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
  

EXPERIENCE

• • 4 years building, maintenance field experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form or blueprints
• Computer literacy is desirable
• Communication skills and ability to relate well with other employees and other people of diverse backgrounds
• NYS Driver License

WORKING CONDITIONS:

ENVIRONMENT

• Frequent exposure to many disagreeable physical conditions
• Occasionally works in outside weather conditions
• Normal hazards and physical demands of trade
• At times may be working near moving mechanical parts
• Climbs ladders, use hand and power tools/equipment
• May travel to off site locations
• Be able to perform moderate lifting, bending, stooping, sit and crawl
