Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Head cum Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Management

• Lead and oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.

• Develop and implement preventive & predictive maintenance schedules for machines, utilities, and equipment.

• Monitor equipment performance and ensure minimum downtime.

• Manage breakdown maintenance and root cause analysis.

2. Equipment & Utility Management

• Maintain production machinery, Mig welding, Shearing machine, compressors, generators, and electrical panels.

• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and electrical safety systems.

• Manage energy consumption and propose energy-saving initiatives.

3. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (Electrical Safety, ISO, OSHA, Factory Act).

• Enforce safety standards for maintenance activities.

• Maintain records for audits, inspections, and certifications.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and control annual maintenance budget (spares, tools).

• Negotiate with vendors for spares and service contracts.

• Implement cost-effective solutions to reduce maintenance expenses.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

• Upgrade and modernize systems to improve efficiency.

• Go down to the shop floor to resolve machine breakdowns and restore normal operation quickly.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems in manufacturing industries.

• Hands-on expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance techniques.

• Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and utility management.

• Leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech , Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).

• 12–18 years of experience in plant maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Experience in sheet metal / fabrication / heavy engineering / process industry (as per company type).

· Salary: 35,000/- per month TO 40,000/- Per month.
