DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Perform warehousing activities in support of the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Department. Provide support to the Plant Maintenance Team by managing maintenance inventory and providing material logistics support, with an emphasis on quick and efficient service and a focus on fostering a team friendly environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform cycle counting duties to verify accuracy of inventory quantity, quality, and specificity of maintenance inventory items.
  • Issue maintenance inventory from warehouse stock to technical staff for MRO work.
  • Transfer inventory between storage locations.
  • Build inventory kits for planned maintenance work to be consumed the following day.
  • Ensure that warehouse areas are clean, organized, and conform to food and environmental safety standards.
  • Ensure inventory is right sized in locations and properly stored.
  • Identify and assist with disposition of expired, damaged, and obsolete inventory.
  • Study and learn defining characteristics of electro-mechanical, safety, and fabrication materials used in maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations.
  • Manage all transactional activities in site ERP/EAM system in real time.
  • Complete daily reports outlining daily activities.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policies.
  • Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with typical MRO parts clerk positions, including mostly standing/walking with little sitting required. Other physical activity like using stairs or lifting/moving items weighing less than 60lbs is required. Some travel may be required in between plants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Some travel to other locations is required.

Most work is performed in an indoor, maintenance store room. Some work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.
