We currently have an opening for a Maintenance parts room person.
Purpose: Maintain inventory accuracy through monitoring and resolving CMMS inventory transactional activities, utilize cycle counting to account for miscellaneous inventory transactions, and investigate inventory discrepancies to improve accuracy.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
¨ Responsible for solving issues with maintenance spare parts.
¨ Works closely with Plant Purchasing, Receiving, and Help Desk to resolve inventory transaction variances.
¨ Able to work within a CMMS system.
¨ In conjunction with Corporate A/P, Plant Purchasing, Receiving , and Suppliers, works to resolve receiving vs. A/P-PO matching variances.
¨ Assists with physical inventories.
¨ Completes monthly account reconciliations.
¨ Coordinate and investigate all cycle counts.
¨ Investigate and correct negative transfers.
¨ Mechanical aptitude with the ability to rebuild small hand tools.
¨ Recommends solutions to improve inventory accuracy with findings from investigations. Participates and/or leads projects related to these solutions.
¨ Facilitate receiving parts and inspecting them to the original order to ensure correct.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2-4 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience in materials and/or receiving is a plus. Have a good understanding of the material process flow. An individual should be able to manage small to medium-sized projects and have strong communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in mathematical calculation is a requirement. Proficiency in Oracle and CMMS is a plus. Good mechanical aptitude with an understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic spare parts programs.
