S-Chem is currently looking for qualified and interested employees to apply for the Maintenance Planner
position.
Job Purpose:
Plans and creates job work packages for I/E, Shop, HVAC, and Mechanical chemical process Maintenance disciplines. Utilizes available resources to maintain asset integrity while optimizing the maintenance wrench time. Utilizes Maintenance KPIs to drive business decisions.
Key Accountabilities:

Understands and promotes the concept of proactive safety, and takes personal responsibility to seek out “at risk” behaviors and conditions to positively contribute to the overall goal of zero incidents

Implements government, industry and company regulatory requirements as relates to work package development. Proposes changes to maintenance procedures as required.

Develop maintenance plans for routine and non-routine maintenance work. Builds logical tasks list for the required work scope, identify resource and estimate required quantity and duration. Identifies, reserves, or orders required materials and spares. Identifies required services, rentals and other misc. tools.

Interface with procurement and vendors to align equipment lead times with planned maintenance work activities.

Optimizes maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and costs.

Coordinates and participates in the technical quotation review with the maintenance and technical team.

Dispatches work order steps as per defined schedule dates.

Provides input to budget.

Review all maintenance invoices with a view to allocating costs to correct budget units and accounting sub-groups

Participates in pre-planning field walks and continuous communication with operations to ensure comprehensive job planning.

Verifies that Work Notification quality is written to the required standard and then convert to Work Order.

Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.

Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.

Performs any other relevant task as directed by direct Supervisor.
Qualifications:
-
Has a Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

Has +10 years of experience.
