About the Role
As a
Planning Engineer
, youâll be at the heart of NOMACâs maintenance operations â driving the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance programs, outages, and major shutdown activities. You will play a key role in ensuring
plant reliability, asset performance, and maintenance efficiency
across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and manage
maintenance schedules
(daily, monthly, and outage-related) using SAP and MS Project.

Coordinate major
shutdowns and turnaround activities
, ensuring milestones and quality standards are met.

Monitor and report on
maintenance execution
, including progress tracking, backlog analysis, and cost variance reports.

Verify and coordinate
material requirements
, spare parts, and technical specifications with operations and procurement.

Provide
technical support
on plant modifications, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety practices.

Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to ensure
safe, efficient, and timely maintenance execution
.

Lead
SAP administration
for planning processes, maintaining accurate and standardized data.
-
Support
continuous improvement initiatives
, developing smarter ways to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
What Youâll Bring
-
Bachelorâs degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
.
-
7â10 yearsâ experience
in maintenance planning within
power generation or water desalination plants
, including at least
2 years in a supervisory capacity
.

Strong knowledge of
CMMS tools (SAP preferred)
, project management, and predictive maintenance methods.

Proven experience managing
outages or shutdowns for critical electrical/mechanical equipment
.

Excellent
planning, organization, and analytical skills
, with a strong safety and quality mindset.

Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across
multidisciplinary teams
and mentor junior engineers.
