TITLE: Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Manager
LOCATION: South Sioux City, NE
REPORTS TO: Maintenance and Reliability Manager
Ensures the reliability and availability of assets and structures assigned to the plant, utilizing the IPS Management/Reliability system method, coordinates the area of Maintenance Planning and Control, Spare Parts/Warehouse Management, Cost Management, and Reliability Engineering. This involves optimized execution of activities with excellence, meeting the minimum maintenance quality requirements, maximizing resource utilization, and planning resources/assets with integration into S&OP, aiming for efficiency and productivity across long-term, medium-term, and short-term horizons.
As a Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Manager your primary responsibilities will include:
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules to ensure timely and effective activities, coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Standardize maintenance processes, implement strategic long-term management (P1A), optimize resources and associated costs, and provide necessary information for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculation.
- Validate short-term scheduling processes with planners, lead processes for major shutdowns and high-risk maintenance activities, and manage the preventive maintenance planned downtime calendar for the factory's machinery, equipment, and processes, prioritizing based on criticality and providing regional visibility for these events.
Reliability Engineering:
- Lead the implementation of IPS Reliability Management System using reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices, analyzing failure data and trends to develop strategies for improving equipment reliability and performance, and leading asset reliability efforts by deploying new technologies or management methods to extend asset lifespan and minimize non-value-added activities.
- Utilize methodologies such as Six Sigma and Applied Statistics, Predictive/Proactive Analysis & Tools, RCM, FMEA, WCM Advanced Tools, and Digital Manufacturing.
Leadership:

- Ensures compliance with incident and accident investigation including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and subsequent Corrective Actions.
- Ensures compliance with all plant regulatory, ISO, Quality, Food Safety systems, GMP policies, guidelines, standards and requirements.
- Supervise and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for team members.
- Oversee active outsourced contracts and collaborate with purchasing to develop new supplier relationships.
- Ensure safety, adherence to cost targets, people upskilling and factory productivity while upholding quality standards.
Your main deliverables will include:
- Implement a structured and standardized maintenance management system, planning & scheduling process, storeroom and cost management throughout the assigned plant.
- Interface between maintenance sectors, optimizing resources for execution, such as purchase orders, service contracts, immediate purchases, aiming for synergy and cost reduction.
- Manage key reliability and maintenance indicators, fostering personnel development, implementing routines, and cultivating an understanding of KPI management. Empower decision-making autonomy and agility across all business areas, understand, implement, and support KPIs, ensure and control root cause analysis for improvement, and develop gap plans to enhance processes. Additionally, define metrics, triggers, and calculate targets based on process history, cascading the information throughout the organization.
- The PCM & Reliability Coordinator develops tutorials and training materials to aid maintenance employees in mastering the SAP/PM system, promoting its standardized utilization across the team. They standardize the tasks of planners, schedulers, and managers to streamline operations. Managing key reliability and maintenance indicators, they ensure these metrics become routine and foster knowledge development for effective KPI management.
- Additionally, they oversee active contracts with third-party providers and collaborate with procurement to cultivate new supplier relationships and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Manage the calendar of preventive maintenance downtimes for machines, equipment, and factory processes according to their criticality, providing regional visibility.
- Execute support activities for the maintenance area, such as analysis of technical documentation, specific studies, preparation of charts and machine stoppage reports, updating visual management boards, controlling statistics and indicators (KPIs), among others, to support activity development and possible process, machine, and equipment optimizations.

- Provide assistance to maintenance sectors and the safety and environmental department in meeting legal requirements related to Occupational Health and Safety Regulatory Standards.
Relationships and People Upskilling:
- Develop tutorials and training materials to aid maintenance employees in becoming proficient with the SAP/PM system, facilitating their understanding and promoting standardized usage.
- Establish standardized procedures for technicians and predictive management within the department to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop an upskilling plan to address them.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, Reliability management, preferably in an industrial or food processing setting.
- Proficiency in SAP Material Management (MM) is required.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, experience in maintenance execution, experience in reliability tools and third-party management
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical/mechanical equipment applied to machines, equipment and industrial processes.
- Experience in SAP-Preventative Maintenance (PM), implementation and day-to-day management.
- Intermediate Office Package, Advanced SAP knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of programming, maintenance planning and control, world-class indicators (KPI's), root cause analysis tools, project management and cost management, RCM and FMEA.

Pay Range:
$102,100.00-$136,166.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
