Maintenance Services Worker 3rd Shift- Colorado Springs Airport

About the Job:
The Colorado Springs Airport is ready to welcome a Maintenance Services Worker to their dynamic team! As a Maintenance Services Worker, you will maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Colorado Springs Airport by performing janitorial, custodial, and basic building and grounds maintenance tasks.
Job Type/Work Schedule: Full time, 3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6:30am
Work Location: Colorado Springs Airport, 7770 Milton E Proby Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80916
The selected candidate must pass (or have already passed) a fingerprinted-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.

As a Maintenance Services Worker, you will:
  • Clean and mop floors; strip and wax floors; burnish floors, extract and vacuum carpets
  • Sanitize bathrooms, clean inside and outside windows
  • Empty trash receptacles and compactors as needed
  • Perform basic landscape maintenance activities; maintain flowerbeds and shrubs
  • Remove trash and debris from lawn areas; and operate a snowplow to keep walkways and parking lots free of snow and ice
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedures used in high volume use building

An Ability to:
  • Ability to follow approved sanitation and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate assigned equipment, tools, and vehicles such as scissor lifts and snowplows
  • Ability to maintain an awareness of all airport safety and security issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)

  • One year of full-time janitorial experience
  • Experience which demonstrates proficiency in floor care
  • Experience performing maintenance in a high-traffic facility
  • General facilities and/or grounds maintenance experience
