Team leadership and supervision :
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and contractors during the shift.
  • Delegate tasks and assign work orders based on priority, urgency, and staff skill levels.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor attendance, and approve time-off requests to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Promote a positive, high-energy work environment and resolve any conflicts that arise.
Maintenance and operational duties :
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance : Develop and execute PM schedules to maximize equipment uptime and reliability. Track maintenance activities using Equipment Management System (EMS).
  • Repairs and installations: Oversee and, when necessary, perform hands-on repairs, upgrades, and new equipment installations. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Problem-solving: Act as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related issues during the shift. Conduct root-cause analysis for equipment failures to prevent repeat incidents.
  • Inventory management: Monitor the inventory of spare parts and tools, placing new orders as needed to prevent supply shortages.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit shift reports detailing completed work, ongoing issues, and equipment performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Shift handover: Communicate clearly with the incoming shift manager and production teams to ensure a smooth transition of tasks and a clear understanding of pending issues.
Safety and compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Lead safety initiatives, conduct routine inspections, and perform risk assessments for all maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to safety, maintenance logs, and regulatory compliance is accurately maintained.
Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with PLC systems and automated machinery is often a plus.
  • Proficiency with a EMS (Equipment Management System).
