The Seattle Division has an opening for a Maintenance Specialist. This position will be based out of Bellevue, WA.


POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for common area maintenance and that procedures are completed in timely manner to support the needs of the business. Conduct preventive and repair maintenance, inspect defective lines and components, and perform troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance and service delivery. Must have excellent knowledge of the technology, especially when assisting the end-users with their concerns and inquiries.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of common area maintenance to ensure that planned maintenance and common area maintenance procedures are being performed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the purchase of parts, tools and materials for common area maintenance purposes as required.
  • Verify work orders to ensure they are properly documented for all jobs
  • Conduct department and entire facility safety surveys and assign work orders and personnel to correct deficiencies.
  • Respond to and investigate accidents, near miss situations, and equipment and facility integrity issues.
  • Participate in departmental and facility safety team meeting
  • Oversee common area maintenance to include landscape and pavement.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and facility system symptoms.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


Education Level: Minimum education for this position is High school Diploma/ Technical or Associates degree or equivalent work experience.


Experience Level:

  • Must be detail-oriented and well- organized. Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions in a fast- paced environment.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, conveyors, forklifts, sweepers/scrubbers, auto storage and retrieval system, etc. is a plus
  • Dispatch experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment with high awareness of safety.
  • Technical mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Proven ability to work within a team structure.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong administrative skills to include PC skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, DataStream, Maximo, etc)
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to solve a wide range of complex problems.
  • Able to perform in a team environment while maintaining a high degree of customer focus.
  • Able to organize and prioritize job tasks in a deadline driven environment.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Retail Divisions: Retail experience and good knowledge of Company policies helpful.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Some Travel is required.


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in multiple temperature environments.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The pay range is $29.18 to $40.08 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications. Dependent on length of service, hours worked benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).”

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay*, PTO/Vacation pay*, paid holidays*, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.


  • For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
