Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of our charter bus company. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn something new every day. Motor coaches carry people and are driven by people, so the desired candidate will be responsible for the well being of passengers and drivers by keeping the fleet in safe and reliable condition. The person we are looking for will have leadership abilities, also be independent and enjoy their own interests, reliable daily and a comprehensive understanding of fundamental maintenance practices. We do not expect you to know everything, but be willing to learn as we all grow together with technology and equipment.

This is not a large shop, three techs.

This role requires effective management of maintenance staff, ensuring the reliability and functionality of all equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for implementing maintenance strategies, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead technicians in daily operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
• Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of motor coach maintenance.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure HVAC systems are maintained to optimal performance levels.
• Manage facilities management tasks to ensure the upkeep of the physical plant.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on mechanical systems, electrical systems, schematics, and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues.
• Lead projects related to maintenance improvements and upgrades.
• Maintain compliance with FMSCA safety standards.

Skills

• Proven management skills with experience in supervising techs in an industrial shop setting. This is not a large shop, three techs.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems, electrical experience
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and facilities management practices.
• Proficient in reading schematics and understanding complex mechanical diagrams.
• Experience with industrial maintenance practices including troubleshooting techniques using computerized software tech tools .
• Excellent project management skills with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong leadership abilities to motivate team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team and across departments. This position is essential for maintaining operational excellence within our facility. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.86 - $35.00 per hour
