Job Title: Maintenance & Technical supervisor

Job Summary

The Maintenance & Technical supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role manages the technical team, develops preventive maintenance programs, coordinates repairs, and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The manager also plays a key role in planning technical projects, optimizing operational performance, and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance Management

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Schedule, prioritize, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure timely troubleshooting and repairs of equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and technical reports.

2. Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians and technical staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
• Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

3. Equipment & Facility Oversight

• Monitor the performance of critical machinery and infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Oversee inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.

4. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.

5. Budgeting & Resource Management

• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
• Evaluate and negotiate with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Track maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

6. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead technical projects such as equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and system installations.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and other departments to support project requirements.
• Ensure timely and efficient project completion within scope and budget.

7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Review and improve maintenance processes, techniques, and workflows.
• Implement best practices to increase equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.
• Introduce new technologies and systems to enhance operational performance.
