Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Fabrication maintenance team and ensure the optimal operation of our Fabrication Department. This role is vital in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of all equipment and infrastructure. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee daily maintenance activities, coordinate repair projects, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of safety and excellence across the facility.
Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000/year DOE
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the maintenance team in providing safe, technically compliant, reliable and productive maintenance support for the plants.
- Plan and coordinates PM and repair activities.
- Maintain proper communication with management, coworkers and subordinates, focusing on plant maintenance needs.
- Coordinate work requests/orders and parts ordering to enable best utilization of maintenance labor and resources.
- Execute tasks at the most effective time to improve availability and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.
- Work with Maintenance Superintendent to develop and communicate priorities.
- Ensure all parts and maintenance labor is appropriately coordinated.
- Follows GMP standards and safety standards.
- Address equipment failures and finds root cause.
- Promote a work environment where all employees are engaged in safe work practices and actively identifies risks and make suggestions for improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Five years of experience in industrial maintenance with at least three years in a leadership capacity.
- Time management, delegation and organization skills with strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to grow relationships with all levels of staff and to lead, coach and develop employees.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment and familiarity with safety, quality and GMP regulations preferred.
- Prior experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electric systems and PLC control systems and communication systems.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Suite applications and business management software.
- Continuous improvement or process improvement experience.
