Minimum 5 years in maintenance of equipment, cranes, forklifts, trailers, or heavy material handling equipment.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee maintenance, servicing, and repair of all material handling equipment including cranes, forklifts (diesel/electric), trailers, and related machinery.
- Supervise a team of technicians and operators, ensuring equipment availability and reliability.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination for timely repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and compliance logs as per statutory requirements.
- Train operators and maintenance staff on safe and efficient equipment handling.
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades, replacements, and cost-saving measures.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, port regulations, and OEM guidelines.
- Work closely with operations team to align maintenance schedules with cargo handling requirements.
- Responsible for budgeting, P&L awareness, and cost optimization in maintenance operations.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Strong technical expertise in material handling equipment.
- Hands-on experience in managing maintenance teams at ports / terminals / logistics hubs.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
