Maintenance Technician

India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, HVAC systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Ensure all equipment in cleanroom and controlled environments operates according to GMP standards.
  • Support equipment installation, calibration, and validation activities.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Follow gowning procedures and other hygiene protocols when entering classified or cleanroom areas.
  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Ensure proper inventory of spare parts and tools is maintained.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • 2–5 years of maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, or similar regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with production equipment such as mixers, blenders, tablet presses, encapsulation machines, etc., is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and equipment manuals.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and wear appropriate PPE and gowning as per classified area requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
