Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system diagnostics and adjustments.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Execute electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics to identify issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Engage in residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic standards of the facility.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance-related inquiries from staff or clients.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Exhibit leadership qualities by fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly in manufacturing or facilities environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues quickly.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing purposes.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Experience in welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to quality work.
