Maintenance Technician

amiliarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) or maintenance tracking software.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify issues with equipment or facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC servicing.
• Respond promptly to guest service requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain a daily log of work performed and parts used.
• Assist with setting up or breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces when necessary.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures, and hotel standards at all times.
• Report any major maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a trade is a plus.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools safely.
• Good physical condition and strength to handle lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in hotel maintenance or a similar environment.
