- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify issues with equipment or facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC servicing.
- Respond promptly to guest service requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Maintain a daily log of work performed and parts used.
- Assist with setting up or breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures, and hotel standards at all times.
- Report any major maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager or Chief Engineer.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a trade is a plus.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools safely.
- Good physical condition and strength to handle lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in hotel maintenance or a similar environment.
