SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is providing diagnosis, maintenance and repair to the company’s machines, equipment and various maintenance related needs, promoting teamwork through behavior, acting in accordance with Altek’s Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations defined by management. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the repair and maintenance of Altek machinery

Repairs, refits or replaces parts with initiative, organization, knowledge, and timeliness with quality parts that meet cost efficiency

Provides Preventative Maintenance (PM) on machines and equipment as scheduled

Completes company-wide maintenance requests in order of priority
-
Participates in all team meetings, proactively shares information pertaining to changes, support needed, successes and challenges in all areas of responsibilities

Builds and maintains positive rapport with other Altek employees, customers and/or suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED
-
AA degree and Apprenticeship preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years in repair and maintenance of manufacturing machines, welding, mechanical and/or electrical preferred
-
Intermediate/Advance knowledge in electronics, electricity, microprocessors, mechanical repair, welding, HVAC, carpentry, blueprint reading, math, maintenance safety, hand and power tools

Physically able to meet all the requirements of the position

Proficient in Word and Excel programs preferred

Able to balance multiple projects at one time
