Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance role performs a wide variety of plant maintenance work and various support roles throughout the facilities. Work involves supporting Alloy Precision Technologies (APT) facility both inside and out, facility-related equipment systems, production equipment, and general support of projects utilizing available resources. All duties will be performed to meet or exceed Customer, AS9100, and regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct self at all times to APT policies and procedures under the current revision.
• Coordinate through the Director of Manufacturing Services & the Lead Maintenance Technician maintenance programs, projects, and general activities required to support daily APT operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools to maximize reliability.
• Recommend purchase of supplies needed to perform maintenance duties.
• Perform all duties in a safe and technically sound manner. Should be an example to others.
• Perform diagnostic & troubleshooting procedures to find and identify root causes of mechanical issues.
• Demonstrate respectful and effective communication with all personnel.
• Monitor general operation and condition of equipment for overall APT operations effectiveness.
• Actively participate and be effective in production activities when required.
• Drive the company van or support other authorized APT business activities as required.
• Operation of basic machines, assembly, and simple process-related activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Completion of HS and a solid background/ experience in fundamental broad-based maintenance skills.
• 2 years on the job manufacturing maintenance experience, or equivalent training/certification in areas such as CNC Machine Maintenance and repair, PLCs, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, etc. known to be fundamental in day-to-day AB operations a plus.
• Rate will be based on experience

• Technical training related to welding, machine operation, or equivalent work experience.

• Strong mechanical comprehension.

• Be willing to learn. Must have a high level of energy, be a self-starter, be results-oriented, confident, and have strong organization skills.

• Flexibility and being proactive are instrumental in the success of this role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to move throughout the shop floor.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift and/or crouch for an extended period of time.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• While on the shop floor, must wear safety glasses at all times. Hard hat and steel toe boots when appropriate.
