Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of production equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in reducing downtime, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring safe, consistent operation across the facility. The ideal candidate brings strong technical troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement and equipment optimization.

Job Functions

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on production machinery, motors, conveyors, and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Identify equipment problems through observation and use of precision tools and testing instruments.
• Replace or repair defective parts using hoists, cranes, and standard hand/power tools.
• Set up and prepare equipment for scheduled production runs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on new projects and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate ongoing issues to team members.
• Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Safely lift up to 50 lbs and access machinery in various positions as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• 7+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Food manufacturing experience a plus.
• Strong PLC and VFD experience highly preferred.
