Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery and building systems to support continuous production and facility safety. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components including motors, belts, wiring, switches, valves, and sensors to minimize downtime.
• Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems and assist with system upgrades.
• Conduct welding repairs on metal structures or machinery as needed to maintain operational integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting, carpentry repairs, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
• Supervise or mentor junior technicians or apprentices when required, providing guidance on best practices in maintenance procedures.
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is functioning efficiently and safely at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to develop maintenance schedules that optimize uptime while adhering to safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency repairs or safety concerns to uphold facility security and operational continuity.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
• Hands-on electrical experience including wiring, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation.
• Skilled in welding techniques for repair and fabrication tasks.
• Experience reading technical schematics and using diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters for troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management.
• Supervising or leadership experience preferred for mentoring team members or overseeing maintenance projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
