Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other equipment to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and construction elements to identify potential issues early.
• Utilize schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical problems accurately.
• Lead small maintenance projects or assist in larger construction or renovation efforts to improve facility infrastructure.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests ensuring minimal disruption to operations while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance is required.
• Prior experience in construction or facility maintenance is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently or lead small teams during maintenance projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to diagnosing issues accurately.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and document maintenance activities thoroughly. Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
