We are seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician
to support manufacturing operations within a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive supplier environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, automation systems, facility equipment, and machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, automation equipment, conveyors, presses, robotics, weld cells, assembly equipment, and related systems.

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment according to established schedules.

Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.

Support machine uptime, cycle time improvement, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Repair or replace defective parts, motors, sensors, switches, bearings, gearboxes, cylinders, valves, and other components.

Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Respond to production calls in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, PM documentation, and repair logs.

Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA requirements.

Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Technical degree, journeyman card, or skilled trades certification preferred.

2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Experience in automotive manufacturing, Tier 1 supplier, stamping, welding, injection molding, assembly, or machining environments is a plus.

Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

Experience with PLC troubleshooting preferred; Allen-Bradley experience is a plus.

Ability to use meters, hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring tools.

Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.

Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed.
Preferred Experience
-
Robotics experience, especially Fanuc, ABB, or Motoman.

Welding equipment maintenance experience.

CNC, stamping press, injection molding, or automated assembly experience.

Knowledge of 480V electrical systems.

Experience with CMMS maintenance systems.

Forklift, scissor lift, or crane experience.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable working around moving machinery, production equipment, and plant floor environments.

Must be able to follow all required PPE and safety procedures.
