Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Perform repairs on appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot complex system failures by interpreting schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems accurately.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring all work complies with safety standards.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during maintenance projects to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and basic construction principles is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors during maintenance projects.
• Excellent communication skills to document work accurately and collaborate with team members effectively. Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
