Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Technician to support the startup, operation, and maintenance of two ultra-high purity nitrogen production facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while meeting customer supply requirements.
Job Description

Perform installation, modification, repair, and troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment and associated auxiliary systems.

Diagnose and repair equipment associated with gas manifolds, pressure systems, and facility operations.

Conduct component rebuilds, calibrations, and equipment validation activities.

Understand and follow process flow within chemical processing equipment.

Perform valid leak checks and ensure equipment integrity.

Execute the Preventive Maintenance Program and Monitoring & Measuring Devices Program.

Analyze repair data and recommend preventive maintenance intervals.

Recommend spare parts inventory levels to support equipment reliability.

Create and submit purchase requisitions for required parts and materials.

Continuously review and update maintenance work instructions and procedures.

Support engineering improvement and construction projects.

Ensure projects have clearly defined scope, schedules, and stakeholder review.

Read, interpret, and work from P&IDs and engineering drawings.

Follow all safety protocols, work instructions, and company procedures.

Assist in promoting safety awareness and organization within the maintenance department.

Successfully complete all assigned training requirements.

Participate as a member of ALAM's Emergency Response (ER) Team and ER Entry Team.

Maintain clean-shaven status as required for respirator use.

Wear required personal protective equipment, including: Full-face respirators, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), Supplied Air Respirators (SAR), Fully encapsulated Level A Emergency Response suits

Organize and maintain maintenance-related information using computer software systems.

Communicate effectively with maintenance, engineering, production, and management personnel.
Skills Required
-
Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Experience in the chemical industry or fluid/gas systems environment preferred.

Knowledge of gas (pressure) system components, theory, and operation.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and engineering drawings.

Basic electronic, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.

General industrial maintenance troubleshooting and repair skills.
-
Tube bending experience.

Ability to perform equipment calibrations and rebuilds.
Education

High School Diploma or GED
Pay Rate

$20 - $26.50 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
