Job Overview:
Blue Chip Group, a growing Utah manufacturer and distributor of dry food products is recruiting for a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to work the night shift. This position will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain and repair equipment. We are looking for a general maintenance candidate who has knowledge of manufacturing from the food industry who is excited to join a dynamic growth oriented team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant

Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs

Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications

Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures

Implement & maintain a PM schedule

Use of CMMS System to keep track of work orders performed

Know and use lock out tag out program

Monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems

Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

Monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement

Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures

Ensure city, county, state and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times

Must be able to work unsupervised on his own, be self motivated and a quick learner

Perform other duties as assigned
Experience Required:
-
5 years minimum experience in maintenance with minimum of 2 years in the food industry

Ability to read blueprints/schematics
-
Seamer and Labeler experience
-
Conveyor experience
-
Flexible Packaging Equipment experience (Horizontal/Vertical Form, Fill, Seal)

Filling Equipment Experience (Auger, Volumetric, Scales)

Blending Equipment Experience (Ribbon, Paddle
Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED equivalent; college education a plus

Ability to read, write and speak English a must; Spanish a plus

Lift up to 50lbs.

Have own tools

Ability to work 40+ hours/week and occasional weekends
To perform this job successfully, and individual must have expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email and spreadsheets
