Maintenance Technician B

As a Maintenance Technician, you will inspect and perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.

We are hiring for weekend and afternoon shifts.

What You'll Do:

• Exhibit superior safety practices every day always evidenced by outstanding housekeeping.
• Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
• Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
• Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
• Repair and maintain equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Repairer A.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and operating difficulties with limited supervision by interpreting machine drawings and parts diagrams and applying basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics. Effect repairs and adjustments, where familiar.
• Assist higher rated maintenance people with repairs, adjustments and equipment rebuilding.
• Complete minor electrical maintenance, such as replacing fuses, motors and switches.
• Perform cutting, welding, fabrication, rigging and motor, drive and belt alignment.

What We Need From You:

• Prior experience in an industrial setting is a plus.
• 1-3 years’ experience in preventive maintenance.
• Experience with basic troubleshooting and equipment adjustments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Willingness to work in a team-based environment and learn new equipment.
