Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping equipment running at peak performance? In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair systems such as HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical components. As a key member of our team, you will help minimize downtime, support preventative maintenance efforts, and play an essential role in maintaining the safety, productivity, and reliability of our manufacturing operations.

Job Summary

1. The Maintenance Technician (I) will provide for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with Orthomerica Products Inc. operating procedures and practices.

2. Analyze and trouble shoot mechanical, electrical, (24V-480V), hydraulic, pneumatic, H.V.A.C. systems and repair production machinery such as CNC, Ovens, Pedestal Sanders, Conveyors, Facility lighting.

3. Provide for essential operational needs of the facility such as; HVAC filter changes, coil cleaning, general plumbing needs, production machinery PM, lighting repairs, office moves and various assembly projects.

4. As stock become low or is deemed necessary for stock; maintain appropriate inventory for PM and repairs to minimize downtime.

5. Process and remove: hazardous and non-wastes from the facility safely and in an environmentally safe and responsible manner.

6. Prioritize work as conditions occur: Emergencies or down time 1st, PM 2nd and projects 3rd.

7. Modify or fabricate parts as needed for specific company needs and assist other departments as needed. This includes: cutting and preparing various metals & wood, MIG welding, brazing and soldering.

8. Keep a clean and safe work environment according to company/safety rules.

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems is essential.
• Previous experience in technical sales or customer service is a plus.
• Military experience related to maintenance or technical fields is highly regarded.
• Excellent analytical skills for diagnosing issues quickly and effectively.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with team members and clients. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

VISUAL REQUIREMENTS

Required to have a close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to eyes.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Subject to both environmental conditions: activities occur inside and outside.

Subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation's.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma.

2. Safe, clean, organized work habits.

3. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, climb ladders, and lift fifty pounds minimum.

4. Job requires frequent standing and walking.

5. Ability to work overtime as needed.

6. Wood working skills

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

1. (2) years of technical training and or 3-5 years of technical experience

2. Strong electrical/mechanical experience & knowledge

3. The ability and knowledge to diagnose and repair machinery

4. Must be able to pass the lift platform & fork truck safety-training courses

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Compensation based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.50 per hour
