Schedule: 2 Weeks On/2 Weeks Off (05:30 am 5:30 pm). After-hours night shifts may be required on occasion to meet specific job functions.
Compensation: $28 - $35/hr. based on experience.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Deadhorse Aviation Center Management, the Maintenance Technician I position is located at the Deadhorse Aviation Center and is responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and repair tasks on the center's buildings, grounds, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. This role involves executing small projects with minimal supervision and operating machinery such as loaders, sweepers, tugs, forklifts, and scissor lifts. Additionally, the technician will serve as a ground handling and marshaling crew member for aircraft as needed. Daily responsibilities include maintenance across multiple facilities, including light electrical work, HVAC systems, boilers, wastewater systems, and jetway/equipment servicing. New construction projects may require framing, plumbing, HVAC installation, electrical work, insulation, concrete work, roofing and siding, drywall installation, and painting.
The Deadhorse Aviation Center, a division of Fairweather, is the primary base for DAC maintenance and management staff. One of the best facilities to live on the North Slope, the DAC can accommodate up to 48 people and includes amenities such as private baths and satellite TV, a dining facility, exercise room, and self-service laundry. Essential Duties

Ensures corporate policies and procedures are being followed and safety standards are met

Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures

Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects electrical, plumbing, fire pumps, heating systems, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts. Documents maintenance performed and provide relevant comments to the Maintenance records.

Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required

Cleans and maintains hangar space to include surface cleaning

Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required

Develops knowledge on Equipment and Building Systems.
- Assists in aircraft arrivals and departures to include maintenance support and snow removal.

Prepares and loads/offloads shipments as needed
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or Trade School.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Three to five years previous experience working in maintenance, construction or on Airports and FBO's.
- Forklift and Front-end Loaderor Tug certification (or ability to attain within one month from date of hire).
- Current AlaskaDriver's License. A current CDL is Preferred, not required.
- Previous experience working Remote / North Slope Arctic

Must obtain an Airport AOA & SIDA Security Clearance (last 10 years) and Criminal History Background Check
