Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Kitchen Equipment

Department: Maintenance
Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor / Operations Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi

Job Purpose:

To ensure all kitchen equipment and facilities in the company’s restaurants and cafés are properly maintained, repaired, and operating efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance & Repair:

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, chillers, freezers, dishwashers, and exhaust systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to prevent operational delays.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per the scheduled plan for all outlets.
  • Ensure proper calibration and functioning of temperature-controlled equipment.
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen equipment.

Electrical, Plumbing & HVAC Support:

  • Identify and repair minor electrical faults, wiring, and switches related to kitchen machinery.
  • Support plumbing repairs for sinks, drains, and water supply in kitchen areas.
  • Inspect and maintain exhaust hoods, ducting, and HVAC units serving kitchen zones.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and daily activity reports.
  • Report recurring issues, major repairs, or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables used for kitchen equipment.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all company safety procedures and hygiene standards during maintenance work.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with equipment manufacturer guidelines and UAE safety standards.
  • Coordinate with outlet managers to schedule maintenance during non-peak hours.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Kitchen or Equipment Technician in restaurants, catering companies, or hotels.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Team player with attention to detail and safety awareness.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,400.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
