Maintenance Technician (Real Estate) (CA/YM)

A Real Estate company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their office in West Los Angeles, CA. They are for a motivated maintenance technician with 2 to 3 years’ experience with property management company specializing in multifamily apartments. (Need to have over 5 years in actual apartment maintenance, or Plumbing expertise) The job entails day to day operations of general maintenance of apartments and office buildings. Properties located in West LA, Downtown LA, Sherman Oaks // Monday - Friday - 8a.m. - 5p.m.

Saturday & Sunday - ON CALL (Every other Weekend) // Overtime Pay Flexibility in work hours. 40-hour weeks, Saturday & Sunday flexibility required.

Must have a clean driving record, own your own truck and tools, and have a valid working permit. This is a full-time position, non-exempt with excellent benefits and 401K. (No out of CA state candidates looking to relocate due to hiring ASAP)

Duties:

• Visual inspection of our properties and report to management about any areas in need of attention
• Must have over 5 years in actual apartment maintenance, or Plumbing expertise
• Communicate with tenants to schedule repairs / maintenance requests via GMAIL
• Unit turnovers for apartment units (painting, general cleaning, garbage disposals, light fixtures, ballasts, HVAC filters, sinks, etc.)
• Assist tenant improvement work and build outs for office buildings (Drywall, Door Frames, Sanding, Demo work, Painting, etc.)
• Be available in case of emergencies on weekends for after-hour calls
• Process maintenance requests via Yardi Breeze systems

Skills:

• Highschool Diploma or GED required
• 2 to 3 years’ experience with property management company specializing in multifamily apartments
• Problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills required
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Courteous, and ability to respond to customers professionally
• Highly organized and punctual
• Computer and record keeping skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Flexibility in Scheduling especially on weekends
• Must own personal truck, own tools, valid work permit, valid driver's license
